Scotty Nguyen is a real poker character who moved to The USA from Vietnam is 1979 with the intention of playing poker for a living.

But he started his gambling career on the other side of the table as a casino dealer. He now lives in Las Vegas which is handy for his new job as a poker professional.

If you have seen Scotty Nguyen at the poker table you will often hear him say his favorite saying which is “yeah baby” and “baby” at the table. Being the character he is when he was in the Main Event at the World series, he looked at Kevin McBride who he had to beat to win the event and said, "You call this one and it's all over, baby." Well Kevin did call and Scotty won and the rest is history.
